funny how things we read as children seem so outlandish and obscure

and later as adults we find they really weren’t absurd

and lo and behold i found it, my magic carpet and it was waiting for me to board, i just wasn’t ready to believe life could be this good

our humanity tries to convince us that we need to be cautious with everyone, because they are out to get us and we have to be careful not to let our guard down

and in time we find the biggest thief of all is the one who wears these shoes and steals my joy all the time

i fear myself left unchecked and  un-scrutinized because i have a history of selling myself short and undermining the foundation of my faith, i am afraid………………………….admitting this followed by work is paying off………………not free but getting closer

this carpet is recharged by positive thought and positive action, it will take me places i never dreamed of and is only limited  by me
