careful how you carry that cross friend, don’t think Jesus used those words

nobody expects you to be perfect, but you’re not trying very hard

when you wave that banner make sure you have the right cause

bringing attention to ourselves isn’t what we’re looking for, but to go about our business bringing glory to the lord

so if you need to be a martyr that’s not why we are called, you may lose your life for Jesus but it’s the work that He prefers

so be careful how you carry that cross people are watching and checking out your words

and if your hands and mouth don’t line up, you might as well be talking to a dog

and I love dogs, but I think they are already saved
