sounds like he’s giving up, tired of the repercussions from doing things his way

people tried to talk to him but their word fell on deaf ears

but life is the best teacher and it favors those who learn, if something isn’t working perhaps it’s time to investigate what is missing and change the course we’re on

i took my hands off the rudder and to my great surprise it was just as they had told me the ship sailed on just fine

as the wind rushed through my hair I looked back at the stern and I could see a figure that was glowing standing at the helm

i surrendered to an idea that others shared with me, and now that idea is as real as water, land and trees

i never imagined that trying to follow and outline for life, could give my life meaning and calm this inner turmoil and strife
