wouldn’t it be simpler if there were only one of you, seems it would be so much easier than pretending, that you can be everything to everyone and that you know exactly what to do

i watch this complicated life that causes you to twist and turn, when all you need to do to change it, is wear the same face all the time with everyone

if that isn’t good enough perhaps you should softly say, ” i would like to make you happy, but that’s not in my job description today and it probably wouldn’t matter because you seem content to let other people pay your way”
