i love the sun…………………always have

i find it ever so invigorating to work in the yard with my shirt off, my wife says it’s the red-neck in me

and maybe it is…………………………when i was younger i was forever frying myself and would repeat that behavior over and over during the course of the summer………………….some of it i can blame on being heavily fortified with alcohol and other substances, but fact is that would only account for a small part…………………..i was just stupid

i have paid the price as i have gotten older with several melanomas that had to be removed………………i generally put on sunscreen if i will be out for any length of time

i have a nice color and haven’t experienced any real cases of sunburn in several years………………….what happened

• awareness?
• precaution?
• acceptance, more than likely this one

i wonder if everyone has some sort of issue that they have repeated over and over until they finally did something different…..i suppose so

seems so logical now and not even on the radar screen at the time

growing older is great for looking back occasionally……………….helps one understand but it doesn’t take you off the hook

one of the things i respect about time, it doesn’t let me forget my lunacies, but it helps me to accept them
