grateful: full of gratitude

”if I could rewind the tapes I would let it play out the same way, because without doing what I did, going where I went, walking the road I walked, I wouldn’t be where I am today”     a statement I have heard many times

couldn’t imagine saying I am grateful for becoming an alcoholic and addict, for many years , but I can say that today

I had to go the places I went, to get to where I am today

I believe we are chosen people who are blessed, not cursed, with a malady left unchecked that will ultimately lead to our demise       so you can spend the rest of you life pondering why or just accept it and get better

our lot has the distinction of living two lives, one before recovery and one after, if we do what we need to do to get better

I am not an authority on anything     I share my experience hoping others can relate and be encouraged to continue in sobriety or start

I represent no particular recovery platform          I do what works for me

I am involved In a 12 step program, but I am not a spokesperson for it or any other program……..just to be clear

I got what I got until I was willing to follow a few suggestions, and then I started getting pieces of what you had and I wanted more

without going down the road I took I would not have the connection to God as I have today……………….it took what it took

I’m the kind of person who thought he could figure it out………………………I am grateful I am not lying in a coffin still under that impression

I don’t know, but I know who does…………………………probably the most powerful statement our lot can make

it is there for you too………………………………….ask
