red book

i think it’s funny how people who called themselves artists often go out of their way to be noticed personally

  • dress
  • hair
  • lack of clothing
  • enough clothing for an entire season

if that’s you, ok and you probably could give a damn about what I think

but you should be cool with a different take, huh?

i want the energy to be directed at my work not at me

we are conduits of this divine energy, nothing more

to think that I have this gift whatever it is and i nurtured and developed it on my own sounds big headed and absurd      part of a consciousness      that’s right   tapped into a power greater than i ever imagined or could imagine

please he’s going to say, we were doing so well, almost kin  no…………………………………….

GOD

it’s not hip in many circles to even go there

our attempts to coddle up a less direct term, spirituality, mindfulness, awareness stem from the bad shake God got from the people who profess Him, me included

Come on man, that isn’t His, oh yeah gotta say she or it’s, fault but the ignorant way we present our faith

here we go……….real Christians do not condemn or judge they love, like Mother Teresa and leave the rest to G or she or Bart, an old sponsor called his concept Bart..

The faults are ours not His

we can twist things up so they get no circulation and they die

we ought to be able to handle anyone’s opinion, it’s not ours and they have a right as long as it’s not pushed

generally my experience has been if they believe it, then it doesn’t need to be sold

Hip has been lumped in with trend and they have as much in common as chocolate and sh……………………………t

hip has no confines or time     does not require the opinion of anyone     stands alone nicely by itself     attracts people by it’s purity      can fit in anywhere because it is not there to challenge but rather to be

a little bird flew my way

and landed by my side

didn’t ask me for my political views or money

but a morsel from my bread

we shared a meal and it flew away

but I bet it will come again

no strings attached

this red book was given to me when i was ten, by a mother and father who were as mixed up as Hogan’s Goats, never found out who Hogan was, but through their ups and downs they held on to this thing they said was their most prized possession

faith

Popeye said, ” I am what I am”

and a lot of me is because of that little red book

it wasn’t shoved down my throat, it was just there when everything else failed
